Southwest Baptist University

Alumni and Friends

You are our best recruiters.  As alumni and friends of SBU you know first-hand the impact an SBU education can make on a student’s life and the world.  As alumni you’ve experienced the challenge of pursuing academic excellence from a biblical worldview.  Maybe you’ve studied with or worked with SBU’s distinguished faculty.  Perhaps you’ve gone on SBU mission trips and have seen how SBU students are impacting the world.  Or maybe you’ve seen the joy on students’ faces as your generous donation has made it possible for them to fulfill their dream of going to a distinguished Christian university.

Tell prospective students your stories of special memories at SBU and how SBU impacted your life. When you recall your SBU experiences with them, we hope you will remember how that special professor deepened your faith or challenged you to academic excellence. Most SBU alumni especially recall the good friendships they made in the dorms or at campus activities or on mission trips. Prospective students need to hear your stories!

SBU students enjoy a nationally respected evangelical Christian University, which has a reputation for academic excellence as well as a passion for missions.  Our caring, Christ-centered campus has been ranked among America’s 100 Best College Buys® for 12 consecutive years, and SBU is among the schools considered to offer America’s Best College Scholarships®.

SBU graduates impact the world. SBU graduates have gone on to excel at Harvard, Dartmouth, Notre Dame, and other Ivy League schools.  Some have served and are serving in the United States Senate and Congress as well as in other government positions.  Others have successful careers with companies such as Hallmark, Procter & Gamble, New York Life, John Deere, Boeing, Motorola, Intel, and Microsoft. Many SBU graduates have been called to pastor churches and serve as missionaries in North America and overseas.

SBU has a profound positive impact on its students, and they continue to have an impact on the world.
